Do najpopularniejszych i najczęściej uprawianych należą róże herbatnie.

Następny ważny etap to sortowanie.

Captivating roses from Africa
"I have not seen more beautiful flowers!" "The ideal gift for a loved one." "They speak without words, that someone cares." Perhaps you share those feelings, as expressed by the residents of Nairobi, Kenya. Of all the flowers, both growing wild and cultivated roses enjoy perhaps the most famous."I have not seen more beautiful flowers!" "The ideal gift for a loved one." "They speak without words, that someone cares."

Perhaps you share those feelings, as expressed by the residents of Nairobi, Kenya. Of all the flowers, both growing wild and cultivated roses enjoy perhaps the most famous. For hundreds of years are the inspiration for poets and painters. Shakespeare sang it in a famous passage from Romeo and Juliet: "What's in a name? This is what we call a rose, sweet pachniałoby by any other name "(trans. M. Słomczyński). How many times, roses have helped to forge or enhance friendship, to repair strained relations or refresh the patient!

In addition, roses are extremely valuable from an economic point of view.

In some countries where climatic conditions favor the cultivation of flowers, fragrant roses is the main source of foreign exchange receipts. For example, in Kenya one year rose by more than 70 percent were exported millions of flowers. This country is the world's leading manufacturers.

Historically, before the roses have done so stunning career, their plants commonly grown in the wild. Over time, through a carefully controlled process crosses some of the more than 100 species of wild roses were obtained thousands of varieties of precious. In this way, the roses have won acclaim around the world and are found in almost every country. For the most popular and widely grown roses are herbatnie.

From the greenhouse in a vase

Roses we buy at the florist or market, usually come from large industrial crop, where he devotes to them a lot more attention than the flowers growing in home gardens. Nursery plants near Nairobi, we realized how much care need flowers, before they reach customers.

Throughout Kenya, such households can be identified by the characteristic plastic tunnels. Freshly grafted roses are delicate, so be sure to protect them from severe weather. The sharp rain, wind or harsh sun rays could cause irreparable damage. It is also important to maintain a constant temperature. Prevent overheating of the continuous exchange of air. Inside the tunnel we see the rows of shrubs in various stages of development. The farm that we visited, many cultivated varieties, including popular herbatnie roses, cut the length of 70 or 35 centimeters. In one hectare there is growing some 70 000 shrubs.

How plants draw nutrients? Not grow in ordinary soil, but on the ground with rocks pumice (volcanic) exploded on the polyethylene film. This method of cultivation is recommended as bedrock prevents the growth of many pathogens.

Plants are supplied with water through irrigation systems called installations. The installation consists of plastic tubes, which bring a measured amount of water and nutrients directly to the root zone. Since the volcanic rock has a porous structure, excess water accumulates on the film, where it is drawn off and reused.

Despite the professional assistance of roses are susceptible to diseases, especially fungal infections, such as gray mold and mildew that attack leaves and stems of shrubs. These diseases may adversely affect the quality of flowers. To combat them, apply fungicide formulations.

When the curled buds begin to show the vibrant colors, this is a signal that you can start harvesting. Roses cut down while they are still undeveloped, so you no longer stand in a vase and keep the color longer. However, the time of harvest may vary slightly depending on the variety. It is important to cut flowers or in the morning or late afternoon when the air is a lot of moisture, which prevents the flowers wilt. Then it gets down to the cold. Stored at low temperature stay fresh longer.

The next important step is sorting. Roses are segregated by color and size. Then they shall be packed in accordance with customer orders and brings them to the main airport in Nairobi, from where to fly away a few thousand kilometers of Europe. Because they are very delicate, they should reach out to customers - whether domestic or foreign - within 24 hours of harvesting. The next time someone will give you a bouquet of roses, or buy them yourself, think about how to overcome a long way these flowers before they found their way into your hands - you may come all the way from Africa. Looking at them, think also of the appreciation of their Creator.

Gdy będą eleganckie i wygodne czas spędzony w ogrodzie będzie płynął szybciej i bardziej komfortowo. Pasują niemal do wszystkiego, a ponadto zachwycają swym pięknem.

Wygrabiamy suche liście i śmieci, rozgrabiamy kretowiska.

Permakultura to pojęcie zapewne nieznane większości ludziom w Polsce.

To jedyny sposób projektowania osiedli ludzkich uwzględniający zasady ekologii i fizyki, by nie użyć innego określenia - zdrowego rozsądku.

Permaculture - a way to self-contained garden does not require fertilization
Permaculture is a concept probably unfamiliar to most people in Poland. So what is the Permaculture? It is a way of designing and maintaining self-sufficient and sustainable human settlements. The best present an example.Dear reader, imagine the house is energy efficient, therefore most of the windows in the house is situated on the south to take advantage of passive solar heating. It is probably the recuperator to further minimize heat loss, the walls are well insulated with a thick layer of polystyrene. It is possible that the house is built in a technology glinosłomobeli.Do you think that permaculture is the new name of the house energy efficient / passive?

Not ...

Before this house is a pond dug. Why? As the sun's rays reflected from the pond will be used for light and reheat the house. This is not the only reason there is a pond. In the pond there are several species of farmed fish, bighead carp white, bighead carp, carp and grass carp. By using polikultury different species of fish feed is used more efficiently - carp eats fruit and mulberry silkworms, mulberry leaves white amur. Karp also (to some extent) feeds on the feces of other fish. Not eaten by carp faeces are used as food for zooplankton, which feeds on bighead carp. Nutrients released during the metabolism of fish serve as the basis for the growth of phytoplankton - food for silver carp
The previously mentioned white mulberry is not just for food for silkworms - its leaves are a valuable, high-protein feed for rabbits, which also are kept on the property.

Mulberry plant is also a "buffer" the impact of separating from the rest of the walnut garden - she is insensitive to juglon (a substance secreted by a walnut, to impede the growth of competition.) Walnuts, Pecans, and chestnuts are also the top floor of the forest garden - that is productive, giving a large amount of food gardens, which resembles the structure of the forest. Las while it is in our climate klimaksowym ecosystem. In the garden that is also used vertical space - an important role in the forest garden, meet climbers such as hardy kiwi, Chinese Schizandra, nasturtium greater.Below the crown grows raspberries, currants, goji berries ...

Fertilize the forest, the garden does not need too much, because it fertilizes itself, because it deliberately placed in a nitrogen-fixing plants from the air. One of these is the nitrogen-fixing plants and sea buckthorn oleaster Multi. Not only that, they fertilize the soil, it still gives a very valuable fruit. The lower floors of the food in the forest cover plants such as dandelion, yarrow, chicory, comfrey medical, strawberries.

Weeds? In this garden there is no weed, because forest garden mimics the structure of their forest, so the creator of the garden deliberately fill all ecological niches for themselves useful plants. Weed is a pioneer plant, so if your garden is at a later stage of succession is much more difficult for weeds is to grow, not to mention a mastery of the whole garden. If a longer appears to welcome him with open arms - after its felling and thrown to the ground will help to create fertile soil.

From the north side of the house are planted Scots pine - their aim is to protect the home from strong winds, which further reduces heating costs. In addition, the needles are falling from the trees, creating ideal conditions for growing blueberries. Among the pines are planted in the usual slow-growing Siberian and Korean pine. Once they grow to adequate size, they will replace the function of Scots pine. An additional benefit is the fact that they give pine nuts - a very valuable and healthy nuts.

To further improve the performance of man-made forest ecosystem in the garden trees and pine trees inoculated with mycorrhizae of edible mushrooms. Not only that greatly improves the condition of the trees, it still gives us an immediate advantage - edible mushrooms.

Principles of design permakulturowego can also be applied on a much larger scale.Using design elements such as keyline, the use of hedges, Agroforestry systems, earthworks protecting soil from erosion and farmers against drought.

So what is permaculture? That's the only way of designing human settlements taking into account the principles of ecology and physics, not to use another term - common sense.

Jak stworzyć roślinną rzeźbę w ogrodzie? How to create a plant sculpture in the garden?

1. Wybierz spory krzew o zwartych, gęstych gałązkach i liściach.

2. Zanim przystąpisz do cięcia (użyj małego sekatora), zastanów się, jaki efekt chcesz osiągnąć. Rozpocznij pracę od stworzenia zarysu owieczki.

3. Gotowa owieczka stanie się atrakcją zimowego ogrodu. Jeśli popełnisz błąd, możesz poczekać, aż roślina zregeneruje się i wtedy naprawić pomyłkę - to wielka zaleta roślinnych rzeźb. Dobrym pomysłem jest zrobienie kilku zdjęć owieczki, ułatwi to odtworzenie kształtu, gdy roślina podrośnie.

4. Gdy uzyskasz już pożądany kształt, stosuj odpowiednią pielęgnację. W przeciwnym wypadku pędy urosną nierównomiernie.

How to create a plant sculpture in the garden?

The key to creating interesting plant sculptures are the ingenuity and creativity. See howeasily and quickly, "conjure up" the inconspicuous plant sculpture in the shape of sheep. In addition to the sculptures will go no one indifferent.
But before you start planting beautiful plants and developing them even more beautifulsculptures, organize the area in the garden. If the parcel is a lot of debris or other stones, they should be sure to export. Old, ugly bower aside for demolition, and in itsplace a new attitude - this is not the road building, and looks great. If the time of building a house in the garden was an old shed or hut, without regret uses them to be demolished because it will spoil the whole look of the garden. If the site was cleaned up, you can start cutting ornamental plants. Today we say, how to carve the lamb of yew orboxwood.

4. After we have the desired shape, use the appropriate care. Otherwise, the stemsgrow unevenly.

Jak stworzyć nastrój w ogrodzie? How to create a mood in the garden?

W nowoczesnym ogrodzie pięknie wyglądają proste meble tekowe lub - hit poprzedniego sezonu - wiklinowe, no i oczywiście ponadczasowy, uniwersalny rattan.

Dziś mamy do wyboru szereg rozmaitych typów oświetlenia.

How to create a mood in the garden?
If you have even a small space around the house, you can arrange a romantic oasis in him, not necessarily a lot of effort. Just think about how you want your dream garden, then carefully plan it i. .. go!Plants

The main and most important part of the interior garden. Flowers and shrubs will stress the nature of the whole, and so must correspond with the style of garden furniture, as well as the whole house in general. This season, fashion is monochromatic gardens, where the dominant plants in many shades of one color. For example, in the garden especially good with azure: Liverworts, anemones, ułudki, martensje and Caucasian-nots. The romantic white garden, but they can not miss: hydrangea, jasmine, magnolia, tawuli, carnations and nots. In such a mood conducive to a garden with plants and trees, dripping with cascades of flowers (eg, white dogwood, trzmielina, jaśminowiec fragrant).

Architecture

Both furniture and garden architecture should be made of wood. This is because most enduring material, and at the same natural and effective. Excellent idea to emphasize the mood of the garden is shaded by shrubs, patios, covered terraces covered in vines exotic, aromatic flowers and gazebos. They let you enjoy your time spent in the garden, whatever the weather. Before you decide to buy, order or make such a wooden structure, consider: the choice of a suitable material (the most recommended: pine, mahogany, oak) and style. If your home and garden accessories in a contemporary style, and all other elements of garden architecture should be of minimalism and simplicity of form. In the modern garden look beautiful teak furniture or simple - hit the previous season - Wicker, and of course the timeless, universal rattan. The gardens in Art Deco style can be shown to have more imagination and make a bid for construction of the decorations, such stylized small architecture "of the era." The garden-style and, in addition to gazebos and patios, pergolas are well placed, for example, in white, with climbing roses on them, fit the atmosphere idyllic.

Lighting

Another key element in building the mood in our garden. Today, we have to choose a number of different types of lighting. In addition to the traditional garden lamp, mobile and those wbudowywanych the structural elements of garden architecture, worthy of consideration are solar lights that provide discreet mood lighting garden evening (especially if you have a garden or pond mesh). These lights are inexpensive, and well-composed garden make a great impression. We are also suggestive of cane torches. These are ideal for the modern garden or zen, but not in the classic. When choosing lighting follow the utility, choose such lamps that do not attract insects, their choice is now very broad.

Dawne ogrody Former Gardens

Dawne ogrody

Do siedmiu cudów świata antycznego zaliczano wiszące ogrody Babilonu.

Na projekcie ogrodu egipskiego urzędnika w Tebach, pochodzącym mniej więcej z roku 1400 p.n.e., widać stawy, wysadzane drzewami aleje i pawilony.

Bogacze zakładali w wiejskich rezydencjach okazałe i fantazyjne parki. Nawet despotyczny Neron zapragnął mieć własny Eden i dlatego bezlitośnie wyrzucił setki rodzin z domów, zburzył je i wokół swego pałacu utworzył prywatny park o obszarze 50 hektarów.

Tutaj mógł on w spokoju pouczać apostołów (Mateusza 26:36; Jana 18:1, 2).

Former Gardens
For the seven wonders of the ancient world were included the hanging gardens of Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar built them more than 2500 years ago for his medyjskiej wife, who longed for native forests and hills. On this 22-foot vaulted construction of terraces, overgrown with lush vegetation, there were plenty of land to feed a large tree. Walk after the Eden-like terraced area probably koiły nostalgia queen.

From the garden art in Egypt was famous fertile valley of the Nile. The book The Oxford Companion to Gardens (Oxford Guide to the gardens), says: "Out of Egypt have come the world's oldest paintings of gardens, where he started a very long tradition (...) gardening." In the garden project, the Egyptian official in Thebes, dating roughly from the year 1400 BC, you can see ponds, avenues, alleys and pavilions. Temple Gardens splendor gave up only the royal gardens, and water for shrubs, flowers and herbs channels fed from ponds and lakes, which was full of water birds, fish and lotuses (cf. 2 Genesis 7:19).

Also, the Persians broke early in the field of horticulture.

Gardens of Persia and Egypt were so captivating that in the fourth century BC victorious armies of Alexander the Great returned to Greece with abundant stocks of seeds, plants and ideas. In Athens, Aristotle and his pupil Theophrastus gathered more and more specimens of the flora and the botanical garden was founded to study and classify them. Many wealthy Greeks, like the earlier Egyptians and Persians, had a lavish gardens.

The Romans surrounded their town houses gardens, using the small available space.Rich people in rural founded stately mansions and fancy parks. Even despotic Nero wanted to have their own Eden, and therefore mercilessly threw hundreds of families from their homes, destroyed it and around his house, created a private park with an area of 50 hectares. Later, around the year 138 AD, was the greatest achievement of Roman art of landscaping - the Villa of Emperor Hadrian in Tivoli. Was located on the 250-hectare site including parks, ponds, lakes and fountains.

Creating garden art, which was also practiced by ancient Israelites. The Jewish historian Josephus writes that at a place called Etam, located some 1912 to 1915 miles from Jerusalem, were enchanted with its numerous parks, streams. Perhaps the rustic parks belonged to the "gardens, parks, ponds and forests," which according to the Bible, "arranged a" Solomon (Ecclesiastes 2:5, 6). Just for the Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane lay, made famous by Jesus Christ. Here he could teach the rest of the apostles (Matthew 26:36, John 18:1, 2).

Zioła w każdym mieszkaniu Herbs in every apartment

Chociaż mają one dużą zdolność adaptacji w różnych warunkach, większość z nich wymaga jednak dużej ilości światła słonecznego, wilgoci i przepuszczalnego podłoża.

Późny wysiew dostarczy w okresie miesięcy zimowych dużo potrzebnych witamin i soli mineralnych. Dobrze w warunkach mieszkaniowych rośnie też bazylia, niezbędna w kuchni śródziemnomorskiej. Jej świeże liście mają pikantny lecz słodkawy smak, przypominający nieco goździki lub gałkę muszkatołową. Są doskonałe do świeżych pomidorów z odrobiną oleju sałatkowego. Bazylia nadaje też interesujący smak sałatkom z ryżu. Można ją dodawać do różnych zup, dań rybnych i mięsnych. Wymaga obfitego podlewania.

Herbs in every apartment

Pielęgnacja żywopłotu z roślin iglastych Beauty Trimmer with conifers

Beauty Trimmer with conifers
Assuming the hedge, we want to become a barrier for us, giving substitute amenities and privacy. A well-run can take us to enjoy for many years. To achieve this we must know how to take care of him.Hedge care of conifers start virtually from the moment of its establishment. As with other plantings hedges require regular weeding, watering and fertilizing. Fertilization: dose and timing of applications depend on plant age, soil type and fertilizer we use (powdery, granular, pelleted). Substrate across the hedge is preferably wyściółkować (eg, ground bark, sawdust) which significantly limit the development of weeds and water loss from the soil as a result of hedges parowania.Ważnym care element is constant monitoring of their condition on the structure, and plant health. Systematically broken branches should be removed, damaged, dry, and above all, infested by pests or diseases (so-called sanitary cutting).
Cutting hedges - the so-called. formation is carried out 2-3 times a year: once in late spring, after the start of the growing season, the second and possibly third time - in the summer, in order to reduce the size of the so-called hedges. Cut cosmetic correction. The cuts should not be performed during periods of rain and hot sunny days with very high air temperatures and / causing a very visible places Cure QTY: staple.
Hedges formed - require a systematic, annual cut that is a prerequisite to maintain their intended form and specific dimensions, high integrity along the entire length and without clearances at the bottom. The first cut is carried out immediately after planting. It involves the shortening and equalization of all the plants so that all received the same amount of planting. Cutting is performed on each plant separately - to trim the top and shorten the side shoots. Thus limit the growth of shrubs, but also stimulates them to the propagation and thickening. From the base of the plant grow the number of długopędy, which in future will form the essential backbone of the hedge. In the case of hedge cutting formed in subsequent years has performed over its entire length so as to give it compensated the surface in the plane and the apical-sided. Most preferred is to give żywopłotowi trapezoidal form (in cross section) - it should be widest at the base and taper slightly upwards. This allows light to easily reach the lower parts of shrubs, which prevents their premature ogołacaniu. The plane cut at the top can be flat.

Melony - sadzenie i hodowla Melons - planting and breeding

Melony - sadzenie i hodowla

2. Szklarniowe podpory
Kiedy główny pęd sięgnie najwyższego drutu, obrywamy stożek wzrostu, a gdy pędy boczne mają 5 liści, im również go odrywamy.
Zrywamy płatki z kwiatu męskiego i wkładamy pylnikami do środka kwiatu żeńskiego.

Melons - planting and breeding
In this article I share with you all the counsel of melons, I know. Starting from planting to harvest.1. PlantingAt the end of March or early April we plant in pots to the ground after three seeds of melons, sharp end down, they water the well, cover pot with a thin, adherent cover and put in a warm part of the greenhouse. After 2-3 weeks, when the seeds sprout, remove the cover and select the strongest seedlings to transplant2. Greenhouse propsAt each main stem of the melon put my cane support, then every 30 cm, going up, attach to the structural beams greenhouse horizontal wires, which attach the side shoots. When you reach the main momentum of the top wire, criticized the growth cone, and when the side shoots to five leaves, they also tear it.3. Speeding up the harvestFruiting melons growing in inspektach we can accelerate the triple cropping of young grow. When you have four large leaves, cut at the stem for the first time over the first two leaves. The second cutting of use, pruning all stems over a new leaf, the third and final cuts are made, when the first fruits appear. Then cut at the second leaf shoots over the fruit. Remove all the stems that do not grow fruit.4. Breeding in the inspections wereIf we do not have a greenhouse, you can buy a variety for cultivation in the inspections were. Should be planted in the garden of no earlier than May on the south side, and a month later to the north. In inspektach facing the south side of sunny weather during the high temperature. Please remember them airing during the day, so melon leaves were not burned. Always close the hotbed from the rain. Compost should be fertile and constantly moist, but not excessively, since this may facilitate the emergence of cancer stem.5. Help in the pollinationTo have developed a fruit, it is necessary to artificial pollination of melon. We're breaking up with flower petals and put the male anthers inside the flower female. Then the weather must be dry. Female flowers we recognize the fact that the petals are swellings that look like small melons.6. When the melons are ripeMelon is ripe when the stem around the base, which grows there is a small crack. When we collect fruit, leave them a piece of stem. It helps to store it for several days. Another way to check whether the melon is ripe, is on a slight push in the place furthest away from the stalk. When the yields, it means that the fruit is ready for consumption. Also characteristic odor indicates that the melon is ripe.
